The vision of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences

Aware of the importance and development of the banking and financial sector, whether in the state sector or the private sector, and to keep pace with the economic transformations that the Iraqi economy has undergone, and aware of the role of the university in the number of scientifically and practically qualified cadres to reach knowledge and advance society, the department’s vision is manifested to be a complement to the mission and objectives of the College of Administration and Economics to serve the Iraqi community In general. The Muthanna province, in particular, constantly interacts with developments in this field of knowledge.

 

Message

The Department of Banking and Finance is one of the newly formed and established scientific departments in the faculties of management and economics, as it specializes in studying a variety of sciences (financial, economic, administrative and accounting) that are closely related to banking and financial institutions to prepare the outputs of qualified students, academics and professionals in line with the requirements of the local and international market.

Goals of the Department of Financial and Banking Sciences

Working to keep pace with the progress in science and knowledge in the economic and financial fields all over the world and employ them according to the actual needs of society, the requirements of scientific progress and the various disciplines of the college in a manner that serves the objectives of scientific research. Encouraging faculty members to develop educational curricula by achieving the following objectives:

  1. Seeking that the department’s program is compatible with the requirements of society and the local, regional and global labour markets.
  2. Enhancing teamwork among students, refining their talents, and enhancing the state of maturity in facing the existing problem and the decision-making process to enable them to enter the labour market and to work efficiently and effectively.
  3. Applying information technology in education and building human expertise to enhance the student’s abilities to acquire scientific knowledge and adopt modern teaching and communication methods.
  4. Organizing and conducting scientific and specialized conferences and activities and inviting researchers from all civil society organizations and bodies and those interested in universities, centers and scientific research institutions from Iraq and beyond to participate.
  5. Reviewing and developing performance standards and periodic follow-up to them to ensure quality.
  6. Encouraging faculty members to contribute to scientific research and publication in all areas of specialized scientific knowledge.
  7. Strengthening the relationship between faculty members and community institutions by working to strengthen links and communicate with them to contribute to their development and enhancement.
  8. Adherence to the values ​​of human rights, social justice and respect for diversity in societies, individuals and ideas.
  9. Enhancing government goals by strengthening the spirit of citizenship and preserving the state’s public property.
