    The college of administration and economic at Muthanna University was established in 2009-2010. As the result of a long and rigorous efforts, the college become a scientific edifice in the field of economic, administrative and accounting sciences that simulates what exists in the advanced educational institutions. The College seeks to graduate students whose specialization meets the existing and expected demand in the labor market in the Iraqi economy, which is headed towards international openness, competition and job creation.

The college aims to meet the needs of the university and the society together by working on the preparation of graduates qualified scientifically and educationally in the fields of business administration, economics, accounting, financial and banking sciences. This is achieved through the adoption of modern scientific curricula and appropriate study plans to achieve these goals. The College currently has three departments: Accounting, Financial and Banking, and Business Administration. The college has witnessed growth and development in the preparation of its students after the completion of all levels of study and received more than (650) students during the year 2013-2014. All the requisite requirements that students need from classrooms, an electronic computing center, and the processing of books and scientific resources have been prepared. The College has worked on the implementation of the concept of productive university and university in the service of society by activating the administrative, economic and financial advisory office. Our advisory office has completed many economic, administrative and feasibility studies and organizing final accounts.

The College also contributed to the establishment of several training courses for the staff of the governorate departments through the mechanism of cooperation and continuing education and in its plan to establish many courses and in all disciplines that are concerned with them.
